I have been teaching Life Drawing in Bournemouth for 8 years, initially, after achieving a 1st in an Art Degree and getting a Teaching Certificate, for Adult Education and special Art groups. I have run these classes privately at the Beaufort Community Centre in Southbourne for 4 years now, and will be starting new 10 week courses in September.

I welcome students of all abilities, from absolute beginners to those with experience. I concentrate in particular on teaching the development of observational ability, learning to "see with the artist's eye". A wonderful skill at which anyone with the application can succeed.

Media can include all dry materials, charcoal, pencil, pastel etc, and water based paints, acrylics, watercolour, gouache etc. All I ask is that students provide a sheet to avoid damage to the floor!

We have access to five professional models, and the classes run on Fridays 10am to 12, and, should we be oversubscribed, an additional class from 1pm to 3pm.
