To join The Bournemouth Blues Club just respond to this listing and ask to be put on the mailing list. This club will meet weekly (Monday nights) and have a different attraction each week. It could be a local blues band, a touring artist., a Blues Jam, a Masterclass, an Open Mic Night, a video presentation etc. Hopefully there will be enough Blues lovers in Bournemouth and surrounding areas to support such a venture.

The Blues Club will be held every Monday at Champions Music Venue, 51 Norwich Avenue West BH26AJ. The first events are

Monday 16th November - Erja Lyytinen + Support £5
Erja Lyytinen has established herself internationally with three highly regarded releases in the past three years. She's a blues artist who doesn't limit herself to the blues, a songwriter and storyteller who transcends the genre's clichés. The blues, in Erja's hands, sound honest and fresh. This lady is mean, moody and beautiful but most importantly she plays the slide guitar like a dream.

Monday 23rd November - Joanne Shaw Taylor + Support £5
Joanne Shaw Taylor ranks as one of the most promising blues guitarists to hit the scene in recent years. Her attacking style and attitude along with her natural feel for the blues is setting her apart from her contemporaries, and is helping to bring blues to a new and younger audience. She has been described as the "lovechild of Stevie Ray Vaughan and
Dusty Springfield"

Monday 30th November - Champions Blues £1
From November onwards the regular Champions Blues Jam will be held on the last Monday of the month and form part of the Bournemouth Blues Club offering.
