I am 55 years old (get that out of the way first!).

Married, 3 grown-up children, homeowner, car driver (clean licence 38+ years)

Literate, numerate and extremely computer literate.

Spent working life thus far in computer business.

I enjoy cooking, singing, reading, travelling (actually thats not true - I
enjoy being in places - the journey especially by plane I find tedious)
and technology of all sorts.

I enjoy documentaries and other factual stuff on TV - can't abide the
reality stuff and soap operas.

I believe in global warming - have been following the debate on the
environment for years since first reading 'James Lovelock - The Ages
of Gaia' and 'Rachel Carson - The Silent Spring'.

I am halfway through an Open University degree - studying mostly
Environmental type modules (water treatment, waste management..) - stopped
this a few years ago - would love to pick it up at some point.

I am not religious.

No criminal record (well OK - I do have a copy of a Carpenters LP somewhere),
and no problem undergoing any checks.

Been out of work for a while so any credit checks will be bad I should
imagine!

I have a list as long as your arm of systems, programs, packages etc,
I have used in my computer career but leaving that aside I have quite
a lot of people management skills having run several teams successfully
in the past.

My headline computer experience is very niche and unfortunately that niche is
dwindling and largely passed out to places like India and so I am finding
it extremely difficult to find my normal sort of work - I would love to
retrain but at my age ..... (don't get me started).

I am looking for something to utilise any of my aforementioned skills
and life experiences - I am extremely willing to learn new skills and
will easily fit in with new people - I am not 'the life and soul of the party'
but a very useful team member nonetheless.

I do not like corporate nonesense (nearly said something else there!) and
after a lifetime sitting behind a desk I would be no use in a heavy physical
environment.

I am currently in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance and I believe I could
bring £1000 with me for a permanent job - JobCentre - now there's an interesting
name if ever there was one!

I firmly believe in 'a fair days pay for a fair days work' and will give
100% to anyone who deals fairly with me.

I am not interested in any 'Earn £££££s today' scams or MLM or even agencies
- I want work now - I want to be paid 'daily/monthly' for 'daily/monthly work'.
