Our client is a successful UK based manufacturer supplying sophisticated electronic control systems for specialist electrically powered vehicles used in medical, mobility and Industrial applications. Our client is looking for an experienced Engineering Support Group Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of technical projects as well as the running of a busy department, working to tight deadlines. Ideally you will hold an honours degree in Electronics or Electrical/Electronic Engineering, and have proven experience in electronic design, both hardware and software. Ideally, this would include knowledge of low cost traction drives or a similar technology. Main duties would consist of
Day-to-day management of technical staff
Implementation of product upgrades (hardware and software), from initial concept through to completion. Knowledge of embedded C programming and safety critical design would be an advantage.
Conducting technical investigations for internal and external Customers, developing robust solutions where necessary.
