Synopsis: Emma was a very special Golden Labrador retriever.
She became an important and integral part of our family life and the greatest friend I ever had. We shared a journey of unforgettable mischievous experiences throughout her full and eventful life. Her amusing moments, like stealing a fish and her teasing of the cat, made us all laugh. All those who met her were greatly entertained by her playful antics and enjoyed her jubilant personality. She had a lovable pleasant nature and a calm temperament.
We strolled together in the beautiful Bournemouth pleasure gardens and walked along the sandy golden beaches.
My children missed out on a great part of her young life and they gave me the inspiration to write Emma, after having to repeat the antics of this crazy lovable dog over and over, from the warm summer day in the New Forest when I bought her to the sad tearful final days of her life.
She had a special friendship with Chopsy, a Siamese cat, and they ended up spending their nights curled up together in their bed.
After a nervous shaky start, Emma became a wonderful attentive mother bringing up numerous puppies.
