We are a happy, lively family living in Kent, the garden of England. We have two children: a daughter aged 4 that started school in September and a son nearly 3 that is at nursery 4 mornings a week.
We need somebody with heaps of energy who loves being around children and can speak fluent English. Our outlook on having an au pair is ‘we are working as a team’. Both parents work fulltime – mum works for a charity and dad works in a senior position in London.

A general day would look like this:
07:15 - Take over from Mum – help with getting dressed, eating breakfast, brush teeth
08:40 - Leave the house for school run
09:00 - Free time
11:45 - leave for school run – get ‘K’ from nursery
12:00 – 15:00 - Time with ‘K’
15:00 - School run for ‘I’
16:30 - Tidy up toys & start prepare kids Scooby dinner
16:30 – 17:00 Mum/Dad back home

We expect you to ensure the children understand cleaning up after themselves after playing and also require that you keep the general living areas clean and tidy. We work together to make our home a happy place and share the general responsibilities of packing and unpacking the dishwasher, keeping the kitchen and bathroom tidy and also keeping all the shared living areas and our own rooms neat and tidy. The children will need help in the mornings with making their beds and we ask that you sort and iron their clothes. Both children are very independent and always helpful. We encourage them to try new things and experiment, but sometimes they still need help with their activities.

Both of our children are happy, well mannered and very eager to learn, so they will need somebody that loves to make and bake, learn through play, sticking, painting, kicking ball, riding bikes and that generally love the outdoors.

We offer a lovely room in our 4 bedroom house. We have a big garden, pool & trampoline. We live 5 minutes from the railway station and you can be in easy reach of London within an hour.

We offer £80 a week and all meals and living expenses paid. Ideally we want somebody that can stay for 10 months to a year, and we offer a bonus payment of £300 for successfully completing a six months placement.
A normal week will be Monday to Friday with all weekends off. When we occasionally take time off on Fridays or Mondays we will give you the opportunity to have longer weekends.
Occasional babysitting might be required.
