STR Health are currently recruiting for a Registered Care Manager for this learning disabilities facility in New Milton, Dorset.

As registered manager you will be required to oversea the learning disability services in accordance with the care standards act and will be accountable to the care standards commission for the day-to-day operation of the home. You will lead & manage a staff team, promoting professional practices and user centred support and care ensuring service users choice, independence and development needs are met at all times.

The registered manager will also be required to carryout the following duties:

Identifying and planning of individual & team development needs ensuring staff are mentored and supervised appropriately.
Responsible for staffing & rota's, ensuring adequate staff levels are maintained
To participate on the duty on call rota
Manage risk within the service to ensure service user needs and aspirations are met.
Making suitable arrangements for the recording, safekeeping, handling and disposal of medicines in order to ensure the proper administration of medication to service users.
Develop, manage and evaluate programmes that support service users to manage their behaviour and provide staff with guidance on appropriate intervention strategies.
Devise and maintain systems of record keeping to meet the care standards
To manage the budget in the registered service within the stated parameters to ensure that the financial viability of the service is maintained

In return a basic salary of £24,000 + £4k allowance is on offer (£28,000) and is allied to half yearly pay increases of 1% & 5% respectively in the first year. Scope for career progression is available for those wishing to further develop their careers.
