We are a group of local people who peacefully protest at Poole stadium because we dont aggree with animals being expolited for human gain- this is what greyhound racing is afterall.

The UK greyhound racing industry kills 15,000 dogs a year.There are 30 stadiums in the Uk..thats an average of 500 dogs each year per stadium. Yes some retired dogs are lucky and find homes but many are unlucky and are either put down on site when they aquire an injury or in some cases later killed, dumped and buried in shallow graves..often their ears are cut off so that their identity numbers can not be traced. This number also includes puppies that are deemed not fast enough..i.e not profitable enough to race.

A recent undercover investigation has exposed one of the trainers at Poole stadium as ill-treating her dogs...please follow the link to see the footage:

Not all of the trainers at poole abuse their dogs..but even so why should an animal be bred solely for our entertainment and profit then more often than not put down at the ripe old age of around 2 and a half years old?

We want to see an end to this so called 'sport'. Nine american states have already banned greyhound racing and stadiums up and down this country are closing as more and more people are finding out the reality and choosing not to support it.

We ask you please, do not to attend the tracks and please do not bet on the dogs.

We would very much appreciate people joining us outside the stadium to protest and show the industry that a great many of us refuse to turn a blind eye to what is happening to these animals.

We are usually there most race nights- tuesdays, fridays, sometimes saturdays.
