Salisbury based leading new media firm are seeking an ambitious mid-weight PHP developer to join their talented web development team. This is a rare opportunity to join one of the largest, fast-moving, fun and dynamic web agencies in the South West (c20 years of history).

You will join the PHP and Core Solutions team as a middleweight web developer where you’ll be expected to help devise, cost and implement CMS driven web solutions and bespoke online applications. You’ll be surrounded by a team of supportive experts many of which have progressed through the same role to be senior developers within the company. The role will involve programming, costing, specifying and maintaining web-based projects, as well as working with Project Managers, Account Managers, designers and other programmers.

About you: You will be passionate about web development and PHP, with a postive and enthusiastic approach to work. You’ll have some commercial experience of building commercial web solutions, probably having spent the last few years with another agency or as a good graduate of a related subject. You should be a competent PHP programmer with experience of working with Content Management System driven websites. Experience of Drupal is a distinct advantage. You should also be an effective communicator as we will expect you to liaise directly with clients and represent our business.

Qualifications: Educated to degree level or experience within a design/web agency environment for an equivalent amount of time. Demonstrable skills in being able to build and maintain web code are a must.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, methodical and technically skilled middleweight programmer/web developer. Attention to detail is key, along with excellent organisational skills, and an analytical mind. Based on the northern edge of Salisbury, within easy reach on public transport from the city centre and free parking available if you have a car.
