The word "date" does not sit well with me, I prefer the expression "meeting of minds". If you describe yourself with the usual generic drivel: "bubbly, outgoing, with a good sense of humour, enjoy staying in and going out, the usual stuff, DVD and a bottle of wine, easygoing, genuine, don't take yourself too seriously" we're doomed. If you're intelligent, modest, well mannered, unusual, unique in style or unfashionable and not one to follow the crowd, do call.
