BRC Public Sector Recruitment is seeking a Clerical Assistant for this temporary post.

Duties will include:

• To provide administrative and general clerical support services
• To provide word processing services, including letters, memoranda, reports, forms and templates, including complex documents on occasion
• To provide reception and switchboard services and deal with initial enquiries from service users and other members of the public
• To take messages on behalf of operational staff, dealing with routine queries and giving appropriate guidance

You must have the following for this role:

• 4 GCSEs grade C or above including English Language and Mathematics
• A good understanding and use of grammar
• Understanding of basic office practices and computerised systems
• Good written / spoken English
• Relevant and transferable experience in an administration or clerical role, using computerised systems and experience of working as part of a team
• The ability to retain information and produce accurate work and the ability to type at a minimum of 40 words per minute
• The ability to use initiative
• The ability to organise workload effectively, prioritising tasks and working to deadlines
• Flexible / adaptable approach to work
