2 Bedroom Greater London Council House with Garden & Rtb > Dorset 2 Bed Flat
Seeking Council House Exchange; Harrow to south coast.....
Available is my Two Bedroom Mid Terrace House in Central Harrow - near to Harrow Town Centre but closer to the lovely Kenton Recreation Ground
Walking distance to several bus routes and four stations; Harrow on the Hill, Kenton, Northwick Park & Harrow and Wealdstone... Serving between them the Metropolitan & Bakerloo (London Underground) and Chiltern Railways & London Overground lines... If that isn't enough for you there are stations a short bus ride away on the First Capital Connect line (or hop on Met or Bakerloo to West Hampstead and change there)...and Piccadilly and Central Line stations are also near at hand. For drivers there is easy access to the M1, North Circular Road, A5, M40 and M25 amongst plenty of others.
In the town itself we have plenty of stores to choose from with two small but adjoining shopping centres, plus Debenhams and Marks and Spencer. There is a good selection of supermarkets serving the area with Tesco on our side of Harrow Town Centre, Sainsbury's in Kenton, Waitrose in both Harrow Weald and South Harrow, Morrisons in Hatch End and Queensbury and a 24 hour Asda in Colindale.. Larger shopping centres can be found at Watford (The Harliquin) and Brent Cross and, of course, London is just a tube ride away.
Harrow itself is very multicultural and has a large newly constructed Mosque, there is a Hindu Temple in Kenton where the Orthadox Church is also being constructed to complete the collection of churches for every denomination.
If you prefer gyms there are plenty of those to choose from too
Most of the neighbours are very nice, some like a chat others to keep to themselves we have people of every background possible, some born in the next road others from across the globe but a smile and wave are universal language..
The house itself is an old style Mid Terrace with recently fitted UPVC double glazing and gas central heating.. There is a small entrance hall, comfy lounge and a good sized kitchen with room for a table. Upstairs is the family bathroom and two bedrooms - one of which is very large. There are gardens to the front and to the rear and on street parking is with a permit..
I would like a two bedroomed flat, preferably in Dorset but other areas would also be considered.. I have raised two sons in this house but now they have grown up I fancy a change of scenery - and if you are looking at this advert I suppose you feel the same.
The local schools are very good with two excellent first and middle schools; Norbury and Elmgrove within walking distance
I shall sort out some photos during the coming day or so and post details of the rent and current council tax.. Please note that this house is a London Borough of Harrow Council House with Right to Buy, I would prefer to exchange for another council property but will also consider Housing Association if it is the right sort of tenancy.. A three or four way swop would also be considered
