An Au Pair is required for a happy private household based near Sherborne. This is a ‘live-in ‘position and typically is a Monday – Friday role although there may be an occasional rare requirement to work at weekends. The role will encompass mainly helping with the children;8 month old twins, a 2.5 year old and 11 year old- who is at boarding school, helping with grocery shopping, washing, ironing and dog walking.

The successful candidate will be seen very much as part of the family and must have a cheerful and willing disposition and an ability to work on their own initiative. There is no requirement to undertake any cleaning tasks as a cleaner is already employed 2 days per week.

The ideal candidate will be an ‘outdoorsy’ type person with enthusiasm and energy to entertain the children- an interest in outside hobbies/activities would be preferrable.

The accommadation is free of charge and there will be no bills and so there are no deductions from the salary which is circa £18.5kpa. The current post holder has been there for 5 years and recommends the position. The provisional start date is ideally in November 2009.
