Cross Channel Ferry Bargain (£20)

Date posted: Thursday 22nd October
Location: Talbot Woods

Anyone planning a trip to France in the next 2 months?

We have some bulk bought cross channel ferry tickets which have to be used by the 17th December.

They are almost infinitely variable and can be used for any length of stay and at any time of day including peak periods. There is absolutely nothing dodgy about this and it comes completely within the rules of Norfolk Lines, you don't have to pretend to be someone else or have a different car all that is needed to book is your name, make of car and reg. number.

They are for Norfolk Lines crossing from Dover to Dunkirk (about 25 mins drive from Calais) the crossing takes about 2 hours and the tickets are for a car and 4 passengers.

Dunkirk itself has a reasonable town centre and a very large Auchan hypermarket, also it is only 1 mile further to Paris than from Calais and is closer to Lille, Bruges and Brussels. The ferry runs every 2 hours throughout the day and night.

We have 5 crossings (= 2 1/2 returns ) and the price is £20 per crossing for a car and up to 4 passengers. Obviously if you are looking at a simple day return then there are better offers available from this and other ferry operators, however, anyone who wants to take a short break would find it hard to beat these prices. As above they can be used for peak crossings and there are no surcharges, the only condition is that there is room on the ship for the crossing you want but that is not a problem at this time of year as the ships are half empty. The journey, including return must be completed by 17th December 2009

Reason for sale - we haven't got enough time left to use them and they are not refundable.
