Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Web Applications Developer. You will have a key role in developing high quality web applications with additional responsibility for the technical quality of production ensuring that our client meets their client requirements and conformity to any digital strategy.

You will also provide appropriate communications to our clients and colleagues on each project’s status whilst ensuring the highest level of quality in our work through code reviews, appraising technical aspects of work and monitoring efficiency against budget.

Ideally you should have a degree incorporating Software Engineering practices. The ideal candidate will be dedicated, have a passion for digital technology and enjoy working as part of a team.

Candidates must have experience in the following areas and be able to demonstrate their use in a commercial environment:
.NET 2.0 (VB.Net/ASP.Net) programming
MS SQL Server 2000/2005 (including stored procedures and user defined functions)
Very good XML and XSLT knowledge
Webservice/XML feed integration and development
Development of Web application front ends (good working knowledge of XHTML, Javascript and CSS)
Knowledge of Visual Studio 2005 or above
Knowledge of an AJAX library such as Prototype or jQuery would be an advantage

Candidates with a background or knowledge of the travel industry would have an advantage, but this is not essential.
