Personal Description:

Hi there. I'm Julia. I've just finished completing 200+ hours of voluntary work, and gaining a certificate in Childcare and Family Support. I've applied for an NVQ2 Childcare course, but need employment to continue with the practical side of that. The Childcare and Family Support voluntary work was done with a family with eight children, of ages newborn to thirteen. Including twin babies! I also have a lot of experience with newborn to up to his current age, almost 3, because of my hugely adored nephew.

Before working with the family I was working as a dog groomer, and going to college to study Animal Care. But decided to go back to working with children as I had done some helping out at a Sunday School with our church in Spain where I was living at the time and I missed working with people rather than animals. I speak and write some Spanish.

I'm caring, honest, reliable and kind. I love to joke and play games, but also I know when to be serious and apply rules and discipline when necessary. I can be shy at first, but children definately bring me out of my shell. I love working with children, they have such a unique way of life and ability to make you laugh in any situation. I couldn't think of a better job than this. Seeing children grow and learn is such a pleasure to witness.

My hobbies are mainly animals and photography. I love to combine the two! I have three English Cocker Spaniels. My dogs are my favourite things in the world and one of them is the daughter of the other two. She was from a litter of ten, so I've been an acting midwife too! My dog gave birth in my lap as she wouldn't let me leave. Four hours of constant puppies, blood, goo, all into my lap. I am definately not afraid of changing dirty nappies and baby sick!
