The Company:
Within a civil engineering company covering England and Wales, a well respected Infrastructure Division seeks a Site based Quantity Surveyor in Taunton.
The Role:
Reporting to the Project Manager\ Managing \ Senior Quantity Surveyor we are looking for a highly motivated Quantity Surveyor. The successful applicant with be responsible for:
* The measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts;
* Agreement of valuation dates and preparing, submitting and agreement of interim valuations in accordance with those dates.
* Method of measurement for Highway Work
* Specification for Highway Works
* Sub Contract and Design Procurement
* Submission of Cost Value Reconciliation
* Cash draw down Plans
* Preparation of cost to complete
* Analysis of tender allowances
Candidate Profile:
Each applicant must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
* Approach & Behaviour: To manage your work ensuring the number one priority is Health & Safety in everything you undertake. To show a committed and enthusiastic approach with the need to be as flexible as required. To operate in accordance with the Ethos of the NEC.
* Experience: Preference that a similar post/position held previously. Knowledge of ICE & NEC Conditions of Contract , Heavy Civil Engineering (including Structures) and Highways
* Qualifications: Preferred professional qualifications applicable to your discipline.
* Computer Skills: Good computer skills required in discipline and knowledge of e-mail and collaborative project working packages.
Qualifications: Ideally Professionally Qualified.
