Our prestigious client, based on the South Coast of Dorset, is looking for an MIS (Management Information System) Systems Development Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

With strong experience of working within a systems development role previously, extensive experience and knowledge of systems analysis, design, architecture, some project management experience and also experience of SQL Server 2000 programming; triggers, stored procedures, DTS packages and Reporting Services, you will be required to lead and manage the development of the end clients management information systems and the associated team (System Developers etc.)

Other responsibilities within the role will include:

* To review the provision and use of data, and ensure that managers are provided with the most useful and relevant information in a timely and effective way.

* To lead and manage the MIS team, setting team and individual priorities and ensuring all section targets and deadlines are met.

* Ensure that systems are developed which are sufficiently flexible to respond to changes to the external and internal context (which may or may not be foreseen); and that interfaces with external systems are reliable and robust.

This role will be excellent for someone who still wishes to get their "hands dirty", but also enjoy's managing small teams as well.
