THEY ARE IN GREEN CLOTH WITH BRIGHT GILT LETTERING AND DECORATION ON THE SPINES. THEY ARE CLEAN AND TIGHT, WITH EXCELLENT BLACK AND WHITE AND COLOURED ILLUSTRATIONS THROUGHOUT. TWO OF THE VOLUMES HAVE SPLIT SPLINES.
A SPECIAL FEATURE ARE THE UNIQUE ANATOMICAL MANAKIN PULLOUTS MAKING THESE A HIGHLY COLLECTABLE ITEM.
This is an excellent set and looks superb on the shelf, and gives a great insight into the state of medicine in the early half of the last century.
