My client is a busy function driven hotel based near to the sea in Bournemouth, Dorset, seeking a strong and dynamic Executive Chef to join this hard working team. Head Chefs who are seeking an ongoing challenge with ongoing rewards to utilize their skills would be the ideal candidate.
As an Exec Chef, you will have a fantastic business acumen, passion to push the business forward, maintain and improve standards all attached to the food operation. You will possess optimum food passion, impeccable training and development schemes for junior chefs, innovation/creativity with your menu ingredients and honorable leadership skills.
The operation is big and demanding covers going up to as much as 800+. As one of Bournemouth's busiest hotels you will cope well under pressure, ensuring all your staff are carrying out necessary tasks and making profit. There are 3 outlets (1 outlet is at rosette standard) you will have control over and you will have the opportunity to work closely with the General Manager to re design all the menu's and bring in new suppliers if needed.
The role of an Executive Chef in this kitchen will also entail ongoing training of your staff and effective recruitment if needed.
Your working hours will be on average 55 - 60 a week and will be allocated 2 days off a week. You will also be working alongside a strong Sous Chef so you will assist you in running this kitchen.
Turnover is in the mid hundreds on a monthly basis so experience working with figures within this range or more would be advantageous.
As a lot of people know one another in the trade - all Chef's that wish to apply for this position do so in the strictest of confidence and no current/past employers will be contacted unless instructed to do so. For the right Chef a salary is on offer up to £40,000 per annum with the possibility of temporary live in accommodation if needed. Ongoing job prospects would be on offer with financial rewards.
