Our client is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their busy Purchasing department.

Your role will include -
Managing existing and new vendors to ensure on time delivery, quality of supply at lowest cost;
Placing of purchase orders, expediting deliveries and maintaining records of such;
Manage and procure items / services from manual requisition requests;
Meeting suppliers and negotiating terms of contract;
Managing plans for stock levels, reacting to change in demand and logistics;
Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products.

The successful candidate will have Buying experience, ideally some textiles background together with commercial experience including strong negotiation skills. This is a diverse role that may include overseas travel. A Quality and Technology background would be preferred.
Role requires a flair and passion for fashionable high quality fabrics, and meticulous administration skills using Excel and Word.

Based in Christchurch with salary of £17K - £20K together with free parking available.
